What changed on 22 April 2026

The NDIS just stopped accepting "we'll send you an invoice in the post."

On 22 April 2026, Minister Mark Butler announced the biggest reset of the NDIS since the scheme began. The government is moving to a digital payments system where every claim needs supporting evidence, and roughly 90% of payments will flow to registered providers.

The Bill is targeted to pass by 30 June 2026. Rollout starts 1 July. If your business is still running on emailed PDFs, manual bank transfers, and chasing plan managers for payment, you are about to be on the wrong side of a two-tier market.

Online invoicing becomes the default

Plan-managed and self-managed participants will expect a clean digital experience. The providers that make it easy keep the work.

Differentiated pricing is coming

Unregistered providers face lower payment rates for the same work. If you register, your website needs to look like a registered, professional provider.

Evidence trails matter

Every claim needs supporting documentation. Providers with proper digital systems will move fast. Providers without will drown in admin.

Built for the NDIS providers who want to be in the 90%, not the 10%.

We've designed this for the operators who know the regime is changing and want to act now rather than scramble in June.

Allied Health Practices

Physios, OTs, speech pathologists, exercise physiologists. Multi-clinician practices needing online intake and invoicing.

Support Coordination and Plan Management

Practices that send dozens of invoices a week to plan managers and participants. We make that one click.

Daily Living and Personal Care Providers

The category Butler explicitly named for mandatory registration. You need a website that signals you are registered and credible.

Therapy and Capacity Building Providers

Hit by differentiated pricing if unregistered. A professional online presence is now a commercial requirement.

Independent Sole Traders Going Registered

If you're moving from sole trader to registered provider, you need infrastructure that matches. We build it.

Why Not Just Use Wix, WordPress, or a Generic Web Designer?

Three options on the table. Only one of them is built for the new NDIS digital payments regime.

THE OLD WAY

Generic Agency Build

$5K to $15K upfront, slow timeline

  • $5,000 to $15,000 upfront, three-month timeline.
  • No NDIS-specific knowledge. You have to brief them on the regime.
  • Online payments are a $2,000 add-on, not standard.
  • You still need a separate invoicing tool to actually get paid.
THE DIY TRAP

Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy

The "easy" choice

  • Looks like every other NDIS provider's site.
  • Stripe and invoicing bolted on with limited customisation.
  • You own the maintenance, the updates, and the broken bits.
  • Your time is the hidden cost, and it adds up to 100+ hours.
THE SMART CHOICE

3P Digital NDIS Build

$100/month, no upfront, two weeks to live

  • $100 a month, no upfront, live in two weeks.
  • Built specifically for the new NDIS digital payments regime.
  • Online payments and invoicing included from day one.
  • Australian team, Australian English, Australian compliance.

Common Questions From NDIS Providers

Straight answers on payments, integrations, registration, and how fast we can ship.

We were emailing PDF invoices and chasing plan managers for weeks. Now everything goes out automatically and we get paid in days instead of months.

Operations Lead, NDIS Allied Health Practice

The site looks like a proper registered provider, not a sole-trader hack job. Plan managers actually take us seriously now.
